On the morning of May 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai city coordinated with the Party Committee of Ta Phoi commune to organize a conference to directly contact and dialogue with the people about difficulties and problems related to the exploitation of the Dong Ta Phoi Vinacomin project.
Attending the conference were leaders of the People's Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, functional departments of the city; leaders, cadres and people of Ta Phoi commune.

According to the report of Ta Phoi Commune People's Committee, for the Dong Ta Phoi - Vinacomin mining project, the Commune People's Committee coordinated with Dong Ta Phoi - Vinacomin Joint Stock Company and related agencies and units to measure maps, review land users, origin, time of land use and land use purposes for 139 households; worked with 22 households that were granted land use right certificates in 2005 but with incorrect area and current usage status; issued notices to revoke land use right certificates to request land revocation according to current usage status for households.

Regarding the relocation of 12 households affected by the D2000 sewer incident, 12/12 households were counted and counted; a decision to reclaim land and a decision to approve the compensation plan for 12/12 households were issued.
For the resettlement area serving the Ta Phoi copper mining project in Phoi 3 village, it is planned with an area of over 3.3 hectares, of which, the resettlement area is 65 plots of land (of which 45 plots have been built by people with stable houses, the rest are temporary houses and other ancillary works).


At the conference, there were 24 comments from the people about the difficulties and problems involved. In particular, the households requested the city to consider and complete the procedures to soon issue land use right certificates for the land lots that have been allocated for resettlement; speed up the construction progress of electricity, road, clean water, and drainage systems to hand over resettlement land, and soon stabilize life. The local Party Committee and government coordinate with enterprises to continue surveying, counting, and compensating for agricultural production areas affected by the D2000 culvert incident; inspect and evaluate the quality of water sources, repair some pumping stations, bridges, and embankments to serve production and agriculture, etc.


At the conference, leaders and representatives of functional departments of the city, Ta Phoi commune and Dong Ta Phoi Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin spoke to receive and respond to people's opinions.
