According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, at the end of the registration period for the 6th grade entrance exam, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School received 4,301 applications. This school was newly established on May 15, on the basis of separation from the old Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School. This year, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will enroll 350 students for 6th grade. With the above number of applications, the competition ratio is equivalent to 1 "competing" 12 students to compete for a place in 6th grade.

The entrance exam for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will be conducted on July 4 at 7 locations.

According to the plan, from 7:30 a.m. on June 24 to 4:30 p.m. on June 26: Receive survey participation cards at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School (20 Ly Tu Trong, District 1), parents and students bring the survey registration form sent by the system.

July 4: Conducting a survey for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School

July 11: Expected to announce survey scores. Based on the survey results, the selection will be ranked from highest to lowest until the quota is met.

From July 12 to 4:00 p.m. on July 15: Students submit their admission applications. After 4:00 p.m. on July 15, if students do not submit their admission applications, the school will remove their names from the admission list.

Admission procedures: Successful students must submit a complete application including: Primary school transcript (original). Valid copy of birth certificate.

If after submitting all the admission documents, the school discovers any errors compared to the above regulations or does not meet the admission requirements, the student will be removed from the school's student list.

Students who fail to pass the school entrance exam will still be considered for admission to grade 6 according to the regulations of the district admission steering committee.

According to the HCM City Department of Education and Training, candidates taking the entrance exam for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will take a test on the following competencies: Language (English, Vietnamese - writing); mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences, social sciences (history - geography) to apply and solve practical problems.

The survey consists of multiple choice and essay sections.

In the multiple-choice test, candidates take a 20-question test in English on understanding natural sciences, social sciences and applying and solving practical problems within 30 minutes.

In the essay section, candidates will take a 60-minute test including: English proficiency test: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing (candidates will take the test in English). Math and logical thinking ability test, reading comprehension and writing ability test (candidates will take the test in Vietnamese).

The time limit for all sections of the survey is 90 minutes.
