On the afternoon of November 15, Ms. Vu Thi Huynh Mai, Chairwoman of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the working delegation, visited, worked and paid a courtesy visit to Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh.

At the meeting, Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh informed the delegation about the Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership, which is increasingly trusting and deepening, creating favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to integrate into the host society. The position and role of the overseas Vietnamese community is highly appreciated by the local government, and is an important bridge contributing to the growing friendship between the two countries.
Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh gave an overview of the Vietnamese community in Thailand, informed the delegation about the business and investment situation of Vietnamese enterprises in Thailand and trade opportunities for businesses of the two countries in the coming time.
Ms. Vu Thi Huynh Mai discussed with Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh some information about the socio-economic development achievements of Ho Chi Minh City in recent times.
She noted some opinions exchanged by the Vietnamese diplomatic representative in Thailand about promoting domestic and international connections in the coming time, to encourage Vietnamese people in Thailand to visit and seek investment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Through the visit, the Delegation wants to connect with the Embassy, Consulate General of Vietnam in Thailand, and the Vietnamese community in Thailand to enhance solutions to mobilize the community to actively participate in introducing and developing distribution channels for goods in the host country, and consuming branded products of Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegation also hopes to connect overseas Vietnamese to mobilize this human resource to contribute ideas and contributions in a number of areas of interest to the city, such as: production, transportation, logistics, healthcare, environment, urban development, etc.
