Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh surveys Nguyen Hoang bridge and social housing area in Hue city

Nguyen Hoang Bridge has 5 spans, is 380m long, 43m wide, and is the 5th bridge connecting the two banks of the Huong River. The bridge is part of the project to expand Nguyen Hoang Street and build a bridge over the Huong River with a total investment of more than 2,281 billion VND; of which, the cost of building and completing Nguyen Hoang Bridge is more than 1,855 billion VND.

Nguyen Hoang Bridge has 6 lanes for cars 3.5m wide, 2 lanes for motorbikes 3.5m wide and safety strips in each direction of traffic and 3m wide pedestrian lanes, arranged at different levels on both sides. The bridge was put into use on March 26, 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Hue City Liberation Day.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Hue City for its efforts to effectively implement the Prime Minister's instructions when inspecting the construction site of Nguyen Hoang Bridge project in April 2024; effectively using the central government's support capital for the project. At the same time, he requested Hue City to continue researching and perfecting the development space planning with the Huong River as the main axis, building more beautiful bridges across the Huong River, developing synchronous infrastructure, bright, green, clean, beautiful landscapes, especially the system of parks, trees, walking spaces, environmentally friendly traffic, creating new development space, exploiting tourism , services, etc.

On the same morning, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation visited and presented gifts to a number of households in the social housing area in the new urban area of ​​An Van Duong (Hue City).

The Prime Minister congratulated the families who have settled down and have new, spacious homes with synchronous, modern, convenient infrastructure in the urban area along with commercial and high-end housing segments in the urban area.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised Hue City for effectively implementing the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister on social housing development. Thereby, contributing to promoting sustainable urbanization; together with the whole country, implementing the Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing apartments in the period of 2021-2030.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested Hue City to continue to promote, reserve land funds, have preferential financial policies, implement credit packages for both investors and buyers, and rent-purchase social housing, including credit packages for people under 35 years old to buy social housing. Social housing projects must be built to ensure adequate and synchronous infrastructure conditions for transportation, electricity, water supply and drainage, telecommunications, health, education, and cultural infrastructure... at reasonable prices; harmonizing the interests of the people, investors, and the state .
