Prime Minister offers incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs and heroic Vietnamese mothers

On the morning of February 8, starting the working program in Quang Nam province, the locality with the largest number of martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the country, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at the Quang Nam Provincial Martyrs Cemetery and the Monument to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (Tam Phu Commune, Tam Ky City).

In the sacred atmosphere, the Prime Minister, the delegation and leaders of Quang Nam province observed a moment of silence, expressing their respect, deep gratitude, and remembrance of the great contributions and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and those who contributed to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, building and defending the Fatherland, for independence, freedom, for socialism, for the happiness and prosperity of the people.

The Prime Minister and members of the delegation vow to be absolutely loyal to the ideal goals of the Communist Party of Vietnam, forever follow the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and the people; join hands, be united, and be determined to build the homeland and country into a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise, to develop richly, civilizedly, and prosperously, and for the people to become increasingly happy and well-off.

The Vietnamese Heroic Mother Monument is modeled after Mother Nguyen Thi Thu - a typical Vietnamese Heroic Mother from Dien Thang commune, Dien Ban district, Quang Nam province, who had 11 children and grandchildren who were martyrs.

Inside the statue is the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Memorial House, where the names, images, lives and contributions of Vietnamese heroic mothers to the country are recorded and introduced.

The Quang Nam Province Martyrs' Cemetery was built next to the Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, creating a harmonious, solemn and interconnected architectural complex - a red address for educating patriotism, revolutionary traditions, and a pilgrimage site for people from all over the country.

Quang Nam is a province with a large number of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people, accounting for more than 23% of the province's population. It is the locality with the largest number of martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the country.

The province has more than 65,400 martyrs; more than 30,700 wounded and sick soldiers; more than 45,500 people who helped the revolution; more than 11,800 people who participated in the revolution and resistance were imprisoned by the enemy; more than 34,000 people who participated in the resistance were awarded medals; more than 6,300 people who participated in the resistance and their children were infected with toxic chemicals.

In particular, the province has more than 15,300 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who have been awarded titles by the Party and State.
