Latest information on the oil tanker fire in Con Dao waters

Accordingly, at 2:15 p.m. on August 8, while patrolling and controlling fishing grounds in the southern sea, Ship KN 210, Fisheries Control Squadron No. 2 received urgent information about the oil tanker GT UNITY on fire, about 104 nautical miles south-southeast of Con Dao.

At 5:15 p.m. the same day, Ship KN 210 approached the area where the fire broke out. The ship quickly assessed the situation and deployed rescue plans. The forces on board organized water hoses to extinguish the fire, prevent the fire from spreading, initially control the fire, while ensuring the safety of the vehicle and assisting the injured crew members.
