The town government considers the development of DV-TM as a key task in socio-economic development.

Having been in the grocery business for 20 years, Ms. Le Thi Son, Tap Cat 1 sub-area, Nong Cong town, said: "In 2004, I rented a space to do grocery business. Because it is located on the inter-commune road and near Minh Tho market, it attracts a large number of customers to come and buy goods. Since opening the grocery store, my family's life has become more prosperous, with an income of hundreds of millions of VND each year."

Mr. Tong Van Long, Director of Long To Company Limited - Long To Supermarket said: "In 2019, I was given the opportunity to lease a 4,000m2 space to invest and build a supermarket with the desire for local people to get acquainted with and access modern shopping channels. Currently, there are about 500 items on sale at the supermarket, meeting the needs of customers to choose from. In addition to bringing in nearly 50 billion VND/year in revenue, the supermarket also creates regular jobs for nearly 30 workers".

To promote the development of trade and services, the town has mobilized resources to invest, upgrade and develop synchronous transport infrastructure. At the same time, it encourages and creates conditions for households with houses on the street, near the market to expand production and business; strengthens security and order for people and businesses to confidently invest and expand their business lines... Up to now, Nong Cong town has 1,196 individual business households and 70 enterprises participating in activities in industries from food services, electronics, mechanics, trading of construction materials, groceries, fashion, agricultural supplies, gasoline, carpentry, transportation...

The development of trade and service not only creates revenue for organizations and individuals participating in business but also creates jobs for thousands of local workers, with an income of 5-7 million VND/person/month. At the same time, it contributes to bringing the total value of the town's economic sectors to more than 1,000 billion VND annually, of which the revenue from the trade and service sector has reached 722.9 billion VND, accounting for nearly 60%. From there, it contributes to bringing the average income per capita of the town's residents to nearly 85 million VND/person/year. In 2024, Nong Cong town is striving to reach 852.7 billion VND in revenue from trade and service.
