On the evening of November 9, 22 male and female students majoring in Tourism from Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture entered the final round of the 2024 Tourism Student Beauty Contest with the Ao Dai, Evening Gown, Speech and Behavior competitions. Thanks to their impressive beauty, solid tourism knowledge, confident speech and intelligent behavior, male student Ha Huy Vu (1m77 - 68kg) and female student Tran My Nga (1m75 - 58kg) won the Championship (Male King and Female Beauty Queen). The titles of 1st-2nd Runner-up and 1st-2nd Runner-up respectively belonged to Chau Ngoc Dao - Nguyen Quoc Trong, Nguyen Thi Huynh Nhu - Doan Tuong Vi.

The Beauty of Tourism Students (full name is The Beauty of Tourism Students - VHS) is an annual contest organized by the Faculty of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture. After 5 times of organization, The Beauty of Tourism Students has continuously grown and improved in both scale and quality, truly becoming a playground for not only students but also those working in the tourism, fashion, culture, entertainment industries... Each competition season has its own evaluation criteria and organization process, but all aim to spread and bring positive values ​​to the community, to the school's students, especially to students studying tourism.

In the final night on November 9, 22 male and female students entered the competition with an innocent, optimistic, and excited attitude mixed with shyness, nervousness, and confusion, along with all the emotions of the first time. What happened in the final night was like once again we saw many values ​​of the student playground "vividly" expressed on the competition stage before receiving much encouragement and support from teachers and colleagues through each competition.

For example, the King's forte is a person with solid knowledge and understanding of tourism, performing the art of singing Bai Choi and also winning the Tourism Male Student award of the competition. The Beauty Queen's forte is singing along with good foreign language skills, being able to communicate in English, and showing her talent through the Short speech competition.

It must be affirmed that the 2024 Tourism Student Beauty of Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture has brought a new spirit, youthfulness, youthful vitality, and the hot breath of the university lecture hall. 22 students entered the final ranking night after going through many practical competitions on stage: ao dai fashion, evening gown fashion, tourism speech and behavior. In which, the talent and knowledge of university students majoring in tourism were well demonstrated by male and female students in the speech (top 12) and behavior (top 6) competitions, although there was still some awkwardness and shyness when standing in front of thousands of people.

It can be seen that, through the competitions, no matter which competition, besides the confusion, strangeness and pressure, anxiety, nervousness, tension, making the first appearances on stage tense, lacking the soul of the so-called "first time doing it", there is also the impression of innocence, purity, knowledge and maturity, and bravery through the competitions in each eye of the male and female students.

The final result was 2 kings and 4 runners-up for male and female contestants. In addition, many secondary prizes were awarded such as male tourism student, female tourism student, best speech, best behavior, most beautiful Ao Dai performance, etc. Many students present at the final night of the contest shared that there should be more competitions like this to find and promote the talents of students in various fields and have plans to nurture them.

Although we know that a competition will have winners and losers, and they have been selected from hundreds of contestants through challenging rounds. Passing this competition is just a stepping stone in the journey to life and career of tourism students.
