Speaking at the opening ceremony on the morning of August 22, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Van - Director of the Center for Journalism Training said that in the context of strong digital transformation, newsrooms are gradually digitizing all activities, in which the application of artificial intelligence (AI) is an inevitable trend.
The class aims to help students approach and apply AI to their work, thereby optimizing the news production process, improving content quality and increasing interaction with readers.
The direct lecturer is Journalist, Master Ngo Tran Thinh - Head of Multimedia Department, News Center, Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV).
In the first session, students are equipped with basic knowledge and practice with modern AI tools, focusing on automating news production processes, improving image and video quality, and analyzing big data to quickly grasp news trends.
According to experts, applying AI in journalism brings a lot of potential, but also poses many challenges regarding professional ethics, content quality, information verification and impact on employment.
Therefore, exploiting AI must go hand in hand with caution, responsibility and ensuring accuracy and objectivity in each press product.
