The girl's family said that 2 days ago, she went swimming with her father at Hon Chong beach (Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa ) and was stung by a jellyfish without realizing it. By the time her father discovered it and brought her to shore, both of her arms were bruised. The family rushed her to the hospital for emergency treatment.

After being given first aid, the patient was awake, had a clear pulse but still had a slight fever and the wound on his arm was swollen.

Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Huy, Head of the Pediatrics Department, Khanh Hoa General Hospital, recommends that when a child is stung by a jellyfish, the child should be taken out of the water where the jellyfish are, and the wound should be quickly washed to remove the toxin.

In severe cases, symptoms such as anaphylactic shock, chills, hot flashes, itchy red rash on the skin, stuffy nose, difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. should be taken to the hospital immediately. If not treated promptly, the patient may die.
