On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), on the afternoon of September 20, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District coordinated with the National Archives Center I to open an online 3D exhibition called "Dear Capital People".
The exhibition introduces to the public archival documents and illustrations of the struggle against French colonialism by Hanoi's army and people from the late 19th century to 1954, many of which are published for the first time.

In particular, among the archives, there are many revolutionary leaflets captured by French police in Hanoi.
The exhibition consists of 3 parts, of which Part 1: "Hanoi on fire, smoke and fire filling the sky" introduces photo documents about the early stages of the French colonial invasion in Hanoi.
Part 2: "Hanoi stands up" introduces documents and images about the revolutionary struggles in Hanoi from 1930-1954 and part 3: "Hanoi on the day of victory" introduces documents and images of the liberation day, forever echoing the triumphal song.
With a 3D space journey, the exhibition takes viewers from Hanoi Citadel to Dong Xuan Market, through the Old Quarter and Opera House Square to Bac Bo Palace. This will also be the first exciting journey in virtual space about the heroic history of the Capital and the nation - a new, attractive and unique approach.
Through digital technology, the Organizing Committee hopes that the exhibition will bring interesting experiences to the public, providing useful information about the history of Hanoi - a land of thousands of years of culture, heroes and peace in the flow of Vietnamese history, contributing to nurturing the patriotism and pride of Hanoi people along with the development of cultural industry in the capital.
