According to TechSpot , recently, Valve, the company that owns the Steam game distribution platform, confirmed that Steam accounts and game libraries cannot be transferred to others, even when users die. This means that the treasure trove of games that users have painstakingly collected will 'follow' them to the afterlife .

This information has caused a lot of controversy in the gaming community. Some people expressed disappointment and thought that this was an unreasonable policy, while others thought that transferring the account was unnecessary because relatives could use that account by logging in with the information that the deceased left them.
