Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training does not accept flowers or gifts on Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will not host congratulatory delegations or accept congratulatory flowers at its headquarters on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, this is to implement the Party and State's Directives and Resolutions on practicing thrift and combating waste.

For many years now, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has issued a document stating that it does not accept flowers, gifts, or guests, but instead wishes to receive e-cards of congratulations on the occasion of November 20. In previous years, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the email address for receiving e-cards, but this year it did not.

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also said that this will be the most meaningful gift for the staff, experts and employees of the Department of Education and Training in the spirit of friendship and thrift.
