This year, the National Round of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot (FDI Moot) organized by the Vietnam Society of International Law (VSIL) in collaboration with the Foreign Trade University (FTU) attracted a total of 10 teams from many law training institutions across the country.

The qualifying matches took place online. This was a major technical challenge for the Organizing Committee, but it was an advantage because the Jury, consisting of many experts, jurists, lawyers, and famous professors in the field of international investment law from many countries and territories around the world, could participate without geographical barriers.

In particular, the event has the participation of gold sponsors: IDVN, NHQuang & Associates; Bronze sponsors: Baker McKenzie, Dilinh Legal, VICMC, EP Legal, Allen&Overy.

The Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot (FDI Moot) for law students worldwide was initiated in 2006 in collaboration with the Centre for International Legal Studies (CILS) (Austria), King's College (UK), Pepperdine University (USA), Suffolk University (USA) and the German International Arbitration Association (DIS).

FDI Moot in particular and law presentations in general are annual and “traditional” activities for law students all over the world. With the aim of training international law graduates with foreign language proficiency and international investment trade litigation skills, this is an interesting playground that Vietnamese law students cannot miss.
