Students receive Tet gifts and free bus tickets home

Before Tet Nguyen Dan 2025, many universities organized gift giving and free transportation for students in difficult circumstances.


At Lac Hong University, students with difficult circumstances will be supported by the school to return home under the program "Tet Trip with LHU 2025". Participants are students from the 2020-2024 course, with priority given to those whose homes are 100 km or more from the school. Priority is also given to students with difficult circumstances whose homes are less than 100 km from the school.

This is the 6th year the school has organized this program. Students participating in the program are supported to return home with a free bus ride, lucky money for bus tickets and many gifts. According to the school representative, this year more than 420 students registered to participate in the Tet bus trip.

In addition, Lac Hong University also gave Tet gifts to 50 students with especially difficult circumstances according to a pre-made list. At the same time, the school supports parking and free storage of personal belongings for students who need to leave them.

The University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) announced to support 50 bus tickets (worth 1 million VND/ticket) for students who are children of policy beneficiaries, war invalids, martyrs; students in difficult circumstances, orphans; students from poor households; students whose families are in areas affected by, or severely damaged by, natural disasters, storms, floods...

Saigon University organizes "Reunion Bus" to support students from families with preferential policies, ethnic minorities, and those in difficult circumstances, especially students whose families have been affected by natural disasters, floods, and remote areas studying at the school.

The number of students receiving support is 300, including the following regions: Northern region (from Thanh Hoa province and above) 20; Central region (from Ninh Thuan province to Nghe An province) 180; Central Highlands region (including Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum provinces) 80; Southwestern region (including provinces and cities of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, An Giang, Hau Giang, Can Tho) 20.

Hoa Sen University has announced a Tet gift for all students studying at the school. This is the third year the school has organized this activity, as a spiritual gift after a year of hard study. Last year's Tet gift from Hoa Sen University was a thermos, with a compact, convenient design, a limited edition exclusively for the school's students.

This year, the Vietnam Women's Academy continues to organize activities to support students in difficult circumstances during the 2025 Lunar New Year. This year, in addition to students from poor households and policy families, the school has added a list of students affected by natural disasters such as the recent storm No. 3.

It is expected that the support activities will be organized by the Vietnam Women's Academy from January 20, after students finish their exams. Each gift will include both gifts and cash so that students can partially cover their difficulties during Tet.

The University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced support for Lunar New Year 2025. In particular, domestic students and international students will be supported with 100,000 VND/student.

Students, international students, and international students staying in dormitories during Tet will receive support of VND500,000/student. Students from poor households, near-poor households, homeless, and disabled households will receive support of VND500,000/student. In addition, the school also gives lucky money to the course classes in the lecture halls when the Board of Directors visits to wish a happy new year, at the rate of VND200,000/course class.

Vietnam Youth Academy organized the program "Returning to Tet with VYA 2025", with the desire to support students in difficult circumstances to return home for Tet. It is known that the program gives 50 bus tickets, worth 1 million VND/ticket and 100 Tet gifts worth 500,000 VND/ticket to students in difficult circumstances and students who cannot return home for Tet.
