Samsung launches Solve for Tomorrow 2024 competition in the Southern region

With the orientation of “Together for tomorrow – Empowering everyone”, Samsung wishes to contribute to improving access to technology, while at the same time promoting creativity in the young generation, to find solutions to current social challenges.

On May 21, Samsung Vietnam launched the Solve for Tomorrow contest in the Southern region with the aim of further promoting the STEM movement, while inspiring and spreading the meaning of this contest more widely to nearly 3 million students in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the Southern region in general.

At the launching ceremony, Samsung representative, Mr. Kim Yong Sup, Deputy General Director in charge of External Affairs of Samsung Vietnam Complex presented 2 STEM creative spaces to representatives of Thuan An Secondary School (Hau Giang) and Nhuan Phu Tan High School (Ben Tre).

The Solve for Tomorrow 2024 competition promises to not only expand the topics but also bring many new innovations, promoting passion and creativity in the field of science. In addition to the fields of environment and health, the competition expands to humanities topics, encouraging projects on scientific solutions to support the lives of disadvantaged groups. Through the competition, Samsung hopes to promote the empowerment of the younger generation so that they can actively contribute to the community and create the future.

With this year's competition, Samsung aims to create a large nationwide network through a series of practical activities. Solve for Tomorrow 2024 will be expanded to more localities in the Southern region, especially remote areas, to create opportunities for all students to participate in the competition.

Along with the program launched in the Southern region, Samsung has also recently launched the “Solve for Tomorrow Bus” journey, starting at Binh Long High School for the Gifted, Binh Phuoc. This is the first time Samsung has implemented this activity to directly reach schools to popularize STEM knowledge. The “Solve for Tomorrow Bus” is expected to travel more than 8,000 km and stop at schools in all three regions of the country. Through this, the program is expected to directly reach more than 10,000 students in all three regions, including more than 3,000 students in the Southern region.
