Bustling Nui Thanh Book Day

Activities in response to Book Day and Reading Culture of Nui Thanh district took place at the district's Culture, Sports and Information Center, attracting hundreds of participants.

The district launched a contest to promote and introduce books for all students of primary, secondary and high schools in the area. At the same time, it organized a contest to draw pictures from books with the theme “Nui Thanh homeland through books” for students of primary and secondary schools.

On the campus of the center, students are given free reading cards and read books on the spot at the counters displaying hundreds of books of the FAHASA Quang Nam Bookstore Branch.

A student of Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Nui Thanh town) said: “In the past few days, Quang Nam Library has brought mobile books to schools. Now, when we come to participate in activities at the center, we can borrow many good and beautiful books to read on the spot. Book Day with diverse activities helps us to be more aware of the meaning of reading and gain knowledge to study better.”

In particular, the program to meet and exchange with the Academic Memory Record holder Duong Anh Vu was packed with audiences. Record holder Duong Anh Vu made the audience laugh and cry with him through true stories about his childhood, his path of learning and his passion for reading.

I advise you not to give up. Choose a path that suits your goals and with all your perseverance and desire to learn, you will definitely succeed. In particular, books are an important way for you to study well, retain knowledge and also a method for lifelong learning.

Vice Chairman of Nui Thanh District People's Committee Nguyen Chi Dan said that Nui Thanh District People's Committee organized Book and Reading Culture Day 2024 to encourage and develop the reading movement in the community, contributing to forming reading habits in families, schools, agencies, and organizations; contributing to building a learning society.
