Quang Ngai invests nearly 2,200 billion VND to build Tra Khuc 1 bridge

Quang Ngai invested nearly 2,200 billion to build Tra Khuc 1 bridge, gradually completing the traffic network in the province.

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 589/QD-UB on approving the Tra Khuc 1 Bridge project.

Accordingly, Tra Khuc 1 Bridge is built in Nghia Lo and Truong Quang Trong wards, under Group B project, with a total construction investment of VND 2,199 billion from the provincial budget, of which the construction cost is more than VND 1,836 billion; project implementation progress from 2025-2027. Tra Khuc 1 Bridge project is invested by the Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.

The project has a construction investment scale including: Special grade bridge, designed with steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed reinforced concrete. The bridge is over 577m long, of which the main bridge (suspension bridge) is about 522m long; 28m wide, design load HL 93. The road at the bridgehead is designed to ensure the main main street, design speed 60 km/h.

For the intersections at the beginning and end of the route, traffic is organized by roundabouts and controlled by painted lines and signs according to regulations. The intersection with Ton Duc Thang Street is a grade-separated intersection, with an underpass on Ton Duc Thang Street; traffic is controlled by painted lines and signs according to regulations.

Ton Duc Thang Street underpass has a tunnel width of 11.5 m (including tunnel walls on each side of 0.5 m); tunnel clearance of 3.5 m; tunnel structure is made of reinforced concrete.

The northern end of the new bridge (Truong Quang Trong ward) will be built 11 degrees east of the old bridge, with a 28m wide road surface, connecting to the newly formed roundabout intersecting the extended Tran Van Tra - Hoang Sa - Nguyen Van Linh - Te Hanh routes.

The entire existing area of ​​My Tra Hotel will be liberated to reorganize traffic and public landscape. The ancient banyan tree will be preserved to form a traffic island and mini flower garden, extending Te Hanh Street along the river to the newly built roundabout to complete the intersection planning.

The investment in the Tra Khuc 1 bridge project aims to gradually complete the synchronous traffic network in the province according to the approved planning, improve transportation capacity, and connect the northern gateway traffic to the urban center of Quang Ngai province in both directions of the Tra Khuc river.

At the same time, it creates architectural space highlights, builds symbols and creates a developing riverside urban area, changing the appearance and stature of the central urban area of ​​Quang Ngai province in the future.
