Xuan Manh is the third contestant to enter the final round of Road to Olympia 2023 with 160 points in the third quarter competition. Previously, in the weekly and monthly competitions, Xuan Manh scored 345 and 265 points, respectively.

With the lowest score in the quarter among the finalists of the Road to Olympia 2023 (because Nguyen Viet Thanh scored 325 points in the first quarter, Nguyen Minh Triet scored 290 points in the second quarter and Nguyen Trong Thanh scored 330 points in the fourth quarter), but in the yearly final, Xuan Manh made an excellent comeback, winning the laurel wreath with 220 points.

Xuan Manh's journey to the championship title was quite... bumpy. According to Xuan Manh, when he sent the registration form for the Road to Olympia 2023, he wrote the wrong address. He then continued to send it but did not receive a response from the organizing committee.

Xuan Manh did not give up and continued to submit for the third time but was also tired of waiting. When he joined the community for contestants of the Road to Olympia, Xuan Manh saw many people boasting that they had received feedback from the organizers. The Thanh Hoa student thought that he had no chance to compete.

But then, when the organizers responded, Xuan Manh burst into joy. "My goal in participating in this competition is to hopefully win a laurel wreath. Then, even if I lose, it's okay. And if I lose, then... don't lose too much. But now I'm so happy with the laurel wreath in the final round of Road to Olympia 2023. Everything came so unexpectedly and exceeded my expectations and imagination," Xuan Manh shared his feelings after the final match.

Xuan Manh left an impression on audiences nationwide when in the weekly and monthly competitions he correctly answered the keyword of the obstacle course after only one hint.

Xuan Manh said that his idols are two former contestants of Road to Olympia: Dang Le Nguyen Vu and Vu Bui Dinh Tung (champion and third prize winner of Road to Olympia 2022).

Want to be a doctor

Thanh Nien reporter asked: "What is the factor that helped Manh become the champion of Road to Olympia 2023?", Xuan Manh answered: "I think I played my best, with 200% of my strength. Besides the knowledge I have, the focus on each part, each question, thanks to luck, I achieved results that exceeded my expectations."

Asked about his plans for the future, Xuan Manh said he will enjoy happy days with his family, teachers, friends, and everyone in the Road to Olympia community. Besides that, he will spend time playing soccer, Xuan Manh's favorite sport.

"As for the future, I have a dream of becoming a doctor. I always try and make an effort to make that dream come true," Xuan Manh shared.

The new champion of Road to Olympia 2023 also shared the secret to studying: "I think you need to practice self-discipline. Self-discipline will be the key to unlocking high scores and thorough knowledge. For example, I often try to absorb and understand all the problems that teachers teach in class. When I go home, I will review. To expand my knowledge, I also often look for documents online to read."

Mr. Thieu Anh Duong, Principal of Ham Rong High School, said: "I am very happy and pleased that the school has been named in the Road to Olympia. Commenting on Xuan Manh, teacher Duong said: "Xuan Manh is intelligent, very hard-working and serious in his studies. In particular, he has a very good ability to self-study. Xuan Manh has specific and clear goals in his studies. And he always tries to complete his goals. Becoming the champion of the Road to Olympia is also his goal and today he has completed it."

Ms. Tran Thi Xuan, a teacher at Ham Rong High School, said: "After all his hard work and efforts, Xuan Manh has reaped the rewards. It is a great honor for the school as well as the team of teachers who have accompanied, supported, and supplemented Xuan Manh's knowledge throughout the past time."

According to Ms. Xuan: "Before the final match took place, through following the weekly, monthly, and quarterly competitions, my colleagues and I always believed that Xuan Manh would win. Because this student has all the elements to become a champion such as: knowledge, confidence, determination... And he has responded to everyone's expectations."

Ms. Vu Thi Huong, Xuan Manh's mother, said: "I am very happy right now and there are no words to describe my feelings at this moment. After winning the weekly and monthly competitions, the family was very proud of Xuan Manh. And now, when Xuan Manh won the laurel wreath in the final round of Road to Olympia 2023, that pride is multiplied many times over."
