The school reserves 15% of its quota for considering academic records. Depending on the major, the admission score is the average score of 5 semesters (except semester II, grade 12) plus the average score of Literature or History or English multiplied by a factor of two.
If the candidate wins first, second or third prize in the provincial excellent student competition or the national encouragement prize, the candidate will receive an additional 0.1-0.3 points. If the candidate has an IELTS certificate of 5.0 or higher or equivalent, the additional points will range from 0.1-0.5.
The next 15% is reserved for candidates with international certificates combined with academic records. To apply, candidates need a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or SAT 1,200 and a 5-term academic record score of 7 or higher.
Each major group will have its own requirements, for example, journalism majors group 1 require a Literature score of no less than 7 in 5 exams; some majors group 4 only consider candidates with an English score of 7 or higher.
The remaining 70% of the quota is for the 2024 high school graduation exam score method. The Academy converts English scores for candidates with IELTS certificates from 5.0. The specific conversion rates are as follows:
