Singer - musician Phung Khanh Linh has just completed 4 shows in her solo tour Off the Record (most recently in Ho Chi Minh City) and released the MV Confiding in a Lonely Night.
From the hit "Today I'm Sad" to a series of songs written about many colors of sadness and most recently "Confiding in a Lonely Night", her music has met a group of loyal, enthusiastic fans.
Go through many sorrows to write music
"A young woman in Saigon, bitterly hiding her love story. Calling the wind to call peace to cover her wounds. Saigon embraces you. Saigon loves your singing. I feel lonely because of you" - Phung Khanh Linh sings in Saigon embraces you.
She writes songs to express my heart to Saigon, a lovely city, no distinction between high and low, treating everyone well as long as they try.

A girl from Bac Giang (now Bac Ninh) came to Saigon to start a career, fell in love with singing at the age of 3 and has been pursuing music tirelessly until today.
She rose to fame with Today I'm Sad (2018), with the familiar lyrics "Today I'm sad alone on the crowded street. Where the lights shine brightly" and the question: "Will you turn back, my love? To look at me one more time".
Over the past 7 years, Phung Khanh Linh has gone on a long journey with many different compositions.
The later songs did not spread too strongly but found a group of sympathetic, enthusiastic audiences who knew the songs by heart. They considered Phung Khanh Linh's music as a soul mate to share their feelings.
That music is: Summer Attic, Drunk Lady, Last Year at This Time, Kind Girl, Why Don't You Understand, Wrap Up My Love and Come Back, Saigon Embrace Me, Birds of a feather flock together... The sad love story of a young girl is somewhere in the songs that carry a strong urban vibe and still have an optimistic tone.
Because the album CITOPIA has a strong city pop sound, reminiscent of Japanese music of the 1980s. The album was praised by The Japan Times for its legacy and creativity.
The newspaper commented: "Phung Khanh Linh's voice seems to blend the cheerful optimism of Friday nights with the melancholy sadness of Monday mornings."
From her debut album Yesteryear to CITOPIA , Phung Khanh Linh kept her promise to release an album every two years. But with Giua mot van nguoi (which was supposed to be released this summer), she wanted to take a step back to perfect it.
She shared: "When I reached the final stage, I still felt that it was not enough for this album. And only then did I have more inspiration, more experience, and more sadness to be able to write Among Ten Thousand People ."

Phung Khanh Linh 'among ten thousand people'
The latest song "Confessions with a Lonely Night" was composed by Phung Khanh Linh, co-produced by Carson Hogan (member of indie rock band The Wildlife), blossom (also the producer of her two previous songs " Uoc anh tan tan con tim" and "Em dau" ).
Confiding in a Lonely Night has an alternative pop/indie rock vibe. The song is a quiet narrative, recreating lonely moments in the middle of a long sleepless night, when Phung Khanh Linh talks to herself about things left unsaid, about a past love.
The song is a smooth sonic experience, a quiet moment after the hurt and thorniness of the previous songs, when she confides: "The sun doesn't know I'm still very passionate."
Confessions of a Lonely Night - Phung Khanh Linh
Phung Khanh Linh's recently released songs are all in the album Among Ten Thousand People which she will release in the near future.
If the three previous singles, Wish you a broken heart, I hurt and Cry Block, represent hurt and anger, then Confide in the night alone will end the story with a contemplative, profound space and gradually reach liberation and peace.
