Students rated the rice and food as delicious, they ate their fill.

Mr. Le Duc Trung, deputy representative of the parents of Long Thanh My Primary School, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, who tried the lunch at noon today, said that during the time the school had to temporarily stop serving lunch to students to find a new meal provider, parents had to work harder to arrange work and pick up their children. Many parents had to take a few days off work to pick up their children on time for school.

"Today, the students are allowed to eat lunch again, the parent representative committee sent 3 people to check how the children eat, how the food is delivered. We assessed that the food is still hot, the children praised it as delicious, and to their taste. Before that, the parents and the school had chosen to find a food supplier, had to go to the food supplier's facility, see how they imported the food, how they processed it, how they transported the food to the school for the children... Therefore, we are assured about the children's lunch," added Mr. Duc Trung.

Sharing with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuoc, Principal of Long Thanh My Primary School, said that the school has more than 1,100 students, of which more than 600 are boarding students. In order to quickly find a new meal provider for the school, so that students can study with peace of mind and parents can work with peace of mind, Ms. Phuoc said that the school has coordinated with parents to find, select and research profiles from many boarding meal providers.

Parents feel more secure when they participate in choosing the meal provider, checking and trying the students' lunch meals.

In addition to studying the company's legal documents, parents and schools also visit the company providing meals to see how they import food, prepare and process it, whether the kitchen ensures a one-way kitchen, how the process of transporting boarding meals to school ensures food hygiene and safety, keeps the rice hot, and is of good quality... before deciding to choose a supplier.

"The school has a new food distribution room at the school. We ensure that when food is brought to the school, it will be put into the food distribution room, following the steps and procedures. Today, I went around to ask the children how they rated the rice. The children praised the rice and food as delicious, and the parents were satisfied. We also sent a video clip about the process of making the lunch that the children ate at school today to all the parents in the school so that everyone can feel secure," said Ms. Thanh Phuoc.

Ms. Thanh Phuoc also said that in the coming time, the school will not be subjective but will continue to inspect and supervise the facilities providing meals for boarding students. The school will still maintain an inspection and supervision board with school representatives and parents' representatives to conduct periodic and surprise inspections to ensure that meals for boarding students always ensure nutrition and food safety.
