Phu My commune was established on the basis of merging the entire area and population of Phu My town, My Quang commune and My Chanh Tay commune (belonging to the old Phu My district) with a total natural area of ​​54.47 ^km2 and a population of 28,392 people.

After the merger, Phu My commune basically stabilized its organization, maintained its activities of receiving and handling administrative procedures for the people.

However, in the initial stages of operating under the new model, the locality is facing some difficulties. Specifically, the staff, civil servants and public employees of the commune are still lacking compared to regulations. The transmission system is sometimes not stable, causing some difficulties for the commune's Public Administration Service Center in receiving and handling administrative procedures on the National and Provincial Public Service Portals. The headquarters of agencies and units are redundant and scattered in the old areas, so the management and use after the arrangement also faces many difficulties.

At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich highly appreciated the proactive spirit of Phu My commune in the initial phase of implementing the new model. At the same time, she requested the commune's political system to urgently complete the working mechanism, avoid overlapping tasks, and ensure timely service to the people.

Along with that, the commune needs to quickly identify key tasks to include in the socio -economic development scenario, in which it is important to integrate the tasks of previous communes into the general development orientation of the current central commune.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested relevant departments and branches to continue to support and accompany Phu My commune in performing its tasks, contributing to the stable operation of the two-level government.

On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich presented gifts of encouragement from the province to the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and officials and civil servants of Phu My commune.
