Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phuong received the General Secretary of the Portuguese Communist Party

On the afternoon of August 16, Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, received Comrade Paulo Raimundo, General Secretary of the Portuguese Communist Party and the Portuguese Communist Party delegation who are on a working visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, introduced some main features of the socio -economic development situation as well as the potentials and outstanding advantages of Quang Ninh in development. He hoped that in the coming time, the Portuguese Communist Party would support Quang Ninh province in establishing cooperative relations, exchanges and experiences with localities in Portugal. Especially in the fields of construction, infrastructure investment in high-tech industrial parks and human resource training. At the same time, creating conditions for connecting market information so that businesses in Quang Ninh province have the opportunity to access the Portuguese market.

On the other hand, the Portuguese Communist Party supports the promotion of the image of Quang Ninh province to Portuguese investors and tourists. Thereby contributing to promoting cooperation in the field of tourism and investment between localities. In particular, it creates conditions to promote research and establish a direct flight route from Van Don International Airport to Portugal.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also hoped that through the cooperation between the two Parties, it would contribute to further tightening the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two States and peoples, towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025.

Comrade Paulo Raimundo, General Secretary of the Portuguese Communist Party, thanked Vietnam and Quang Ninh Province for their warm welcome to the delegation. He affirmed that the Portuguese Communist Party always attaches special importance to cooperative relations with Communist Parties around the world, including the Communist Party of Vietnam. The proposals of Quang Ninh Province are all very important issues to promote cooperative relations between the two sides. The Portuguese Communist Party will do its best to materialize these contents. Thereby, contributing to the two Parties' common goal of communists around the world for peace, progress and a happy life for the people.
