On August 13, a source from Thanh Nien Newspaper reported that a female patient had just been admitted to the emergency room in Ho Chi Minh City after cosmetic surgery to remove eye bags.
Accordingly, on August 12, a female patient named TD (56 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) went to a cosmetic clinic in District 5 (name unknown) for minor surgery to remove eye bags.
At 9:00 p.m. the same day, the female patient was admitted to the Emergency Department of Cho Ray Hospital with severe swelling and bruising in both eyes and was admitted to the emergency room.
According to the doctor, when admitted to the hospital, the female patient was conscious, blood pressure 140/90 mmHg, pulse 74 beats/minute, heart rate regular, lungs without rales, swelling and bruising on both eyelids, eyelid wound closed.
The results of the brain CT scan showed that the patient with the eye bag removal had air and blood in the soft tissue around the eyeballs on both sides. There were no structural or density abnormalities on the film. No intracranial lesions were seen on the film.
The patient was diagnosed with bilateral periocular soft tissue hematoma and gas after eyelid surgery. The patient was consulted and admitted to the Ophthalmology Department for further monitoring and treatment.
Previously, on August 1, a 39-year-old female patient went to Hong Cuc business (50/19 Truong Son, Ward 2, Tan Binh District) owned by Ms. BHC to inject filler into the patient's right forehead. About 1 minute after the injection, the female patient's right eye became blurred, so Ms. C. immediately injected the patient with an antidote.
After that, Ms. C. took the female patient to the emergency room and arrived at Cho Ray Hospital at 7:00 p.m. on August 1. At Cho Ray Hospital, the patient was diagnosed with: total uveitis in the right eye, central retinal artery occlusion; skin ischemia in the right forehead, right eye, and nose after filler injection. The case is being handled by the authorities.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health calls on people to immediately call the hotline at 0989401155 or report via the "Online Health" app when discovering or suspecting an illegal beauty facility such as the above filler injection facility or showing signs of violation so that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate can have information, promptly detect and strictly handle according to regulations.
