Beautiful schools like parks in Ho Chi Minh City

Many public kindergartens and primary schools in Ho Chi Minh City have large areas. The schools take care of and build beautiful school gardens like parks, creating a green, clean space for students, while also teaching many meaningful messages.

Not every place with lots of trees is considered a green school. Green here is also considered sustainable development, which is considered based on many factors.

In education, a green school not only creates harmony and balance between people and the natural environment, creating positive emotions for teachers, school staff and students, but can also be used as an educational environment, an open classroom space. From there, teachers and schools can organize many interesting educational activities for students. At the same time, in a green school, teachers guide students to a green, sustainable lifestyle, to know how to classify garbage, save electricity, save water, protect trees and flowers, and to take care of the school garden landscape themselves to multiply the beautiful things around them.

In Ho Chi Minh City, during our work, we have recorded such sustainable green schools. The landscape in the school is as beautiful as a park. For example, at the kindergarten level, located right on Tran Quoc Thao Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City is Thanh Pho Kindergarten. The area is nearly 10,000 m2 , the green school garden system with enough fruit trees, ornamental plants, and lawns is planned beautifully and nicely.

This is also a space for educational activities for children, such as visiting the garden, learning about plants, how to care for them, and harvesting them. Or on the lawn, children can participate in creative activities, sunbathing, and breathing fresh air from nature.

Nguyen Cong Tru Primary School, District 8 also has an equally vast area. The school garden here is designed like a peaceful farm.

Taking advantage of vacant lots, school security guards grow sunflowers, cabbages, kohlrabi, squash vines and all kinds of vegetables. This school garden is for students to visit during lessons related to the surrounding environment, expanding their knowledge of plants.

Sustainable green living school

Or at Le Van Tam Primary School, District 7, students have countless spaces to play in the school garden in the mornings, during recess, after lunch and when participating in experiential activities at school. They have a reading space designed under the trellis of the marigold flower. The vegetable and fruit garden is marked with signs of the tree species and scientific information.

Under the shade of the trees, groups of students participate in physical games... Students are taught to sort waste at source, save water and electricity to protect the environment, and live in harmony with nature. They are taught to love nature and integrate it into many lessons and educational activities.

Thuan Kieu Primary School, District 12 organizes many educational activities for students to explore science and learn about the natural environment around them. This not only provides knowledge but also encourages students to explore and discover science, nurturing their dreams for the future.

A sustainable green school cannot be created by simply covering it with lots of trees. The most beautiful and sustainable green schools focus on building from the roots, which is education, cultivating human consciousness, from when the student is just a child.
