The silent heroes and the journey of picking up nails to protect the peace of the people

In the hustle and bustle of life, there are always beautiful stories quietly taking place. These are stories about ordinary people who choose a meaningful path without the need for spotlights. They only bring with them a modified motorbike, a magnet and a belief in kindness. They are the members of the “Connecting Vinh Phuc Hearts” club. They have been silently “sucking nails” day and night to cultivate peace for every road, every wheel rolling on the beloved land of Phu Tho.

They only brought with them a modified motorbike, a magnet and a belief in kindness. They are the members of the “Connecting Vinh Phuc Hearts” club.

From shared pain to bold action

Every Friday and Saturday night, when the city gradually falls asleep, these special motorbikes are on the road again. No loud horns, no flashing lights, they slowly glide on the main roads, where countless dangers lurk. Under the bike, a giant magnet is installed under a wheeled iron box attached to the back of the motorbike, silently collecting the knife-sharp metal pieces, the sharp nails that bad guys have scattered, lurking to cause disaster.

Nail thieves are still a serious problem on the roads. Hundreds of tire explosions, loss of control, and even tragic accidents occur every year. They not only directly threaten the lives of road users but also haunt anyone who passes through these roads. Understanding the danger, Mr. Dang Thai Son, Vice President of the “Connecting Hearts of Vinh Phuc” Club, has come up with a bold idea.

"There are many tragic traffic accidents on these routes. From there, I came up with the idea of having a vehicle to suck up all the nails, reducing traffic accidents for road users. I and some of my brothers founded a club and implemented this activity," Son shared.

Every Friday and Saturday night, when the city gradually falls asleep, members of the “Connecting Hearts of Vinh Phuc” club ride these special motorbikes to silently collect sharp pieces of metal.

Mr. Son's sharing has inspired many like-minded people. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, another member of the club, found a deep humane meaning in this activity. "I know that the club's nail extraction activity is very meaningful and humane. It brings safety to vehicles on the roads very well. Seeing such a humane and meaningful activity, I also asked to join the nail extraction team and join the brothers to extract nails," Mr. Hung confided.

In fact, most of the club members are busy workers. During the day, they work in businesses and companies, but still try to spend time every Friday and Saturday evening to do this meaningful work. Although the activity is small, it has great humanistic value, together bringing safety to the community.

Quiet Journeys and Amazing Results

The club’s activities are not easy. Every evening, members must move carefully, keep their eyes and ears open to ensure their own safety and the safety of those around them. However, the results they achieve are amazing. On average, each session, members can collect 4 to 5 kg of nails and scrap iron. This number may seem small at first, but behind it are countless accidents that have been prevented, countless families that have been protected from painful losses.

On average, each session, members of the "Connecting Vinh Phuc Hearts" club can collect from 4 to 5 kg of nails and scrap iron.

The “nail collectors” do not receive any wages or bonuses. The only thing they receive in return is peace on each road, and silent thanks from passersby. That is the greatest motivation for them to continue their work. “Nail collectors” may sound simple, but it is a noble expression of responsibility, love and kindness in everyday life.

Kindness needs no show

Ms. Nguyen Van Anh, a resident of Phuc Yen ward, Phu Tho province, shared: "Every Friday and Saturday night, I see modified motorbikes running along the streets to pick up nails. I see them as silent heroes, kind hearts who are silently making this life better."

The “Connecting Vinh Phuc Hearts” Club is not just a group of “nail-sucking” people but also a beautiful symbol of kindness and solidarity for the community. They have been proving that kindness does not need to be ostentatious, kindness can start from the smallest actions, leaving a deep impression in people’s hearts.

The “Connecting Hearts of Vinh Phuc” Club is not simply a group of people who “suck nails” but also a beautiful symbol of kindness and solidarity for the community.

Through their meaningful actions, they bring peace to the roads of Phu Tho, beautifying life. They are true heroes, whose actions speak for themselves.

Their night trips continue tirelessly. The club’s “nail-sucking” journey is not just a simple road cleaning job, but also a powerful affirmation of human kindness. It is a selfless kindness, a sincere concern for the safety of strangers. Each nail picked up is a danger removed, each cleared stretch of road is a little more peace of mind for road users.

They do not seek fame or praise, they just want to see the roads become safer. And it is that simplicity and silence that creates the spreading power of kindness, inspiring those around them. Their activities are a reminder that, in a challenging modern society, kindness and compassion still exist, infiltrating every corner of life, and can start from the smallest actions.
