On the morning of April 13, Cai Gia Chot Pagoda (Hung Hoi Commune, Vinh Loi District) coordinated with the People's Committee of Hung Hoi Commune to organize the 10th Mini Ngo Boat Race to celebrate Chol-chnam-thmay New Year 2025.

The Ngo boat race is participated by 16 teams from hamlets with a large Khmer population in the province and Soc Trang province. The Ngo boat race is divided into 4 groups, the teams compete in a round robin to determine the teams with the best results to enter the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

* At the same time, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Bac Lieu City coordinated with the Pure Land Buddhist Lay Association of Vietnam Province and the Nga Gold Shop (Ward 3, Bac Lieu City) to organize medical examinations, provide free medicine and give 50 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to Khmer ethnic families who are poor, near-poor households, and elderly people in difficult circumstances in Vinh Trach Dong commune.

Through medical examination and gift giving activities, not only do we help Khmer people have better health care conditions and celebrate a full and warm traditional New Year, but we also contribute to strengthening the Khmer people's belief in the policy of great national unity.

* Previously, on April 12, Dia Muong Pagoda (Vinh Phu Dong Commune, Phuoc Long District) also organized a volleyball tournament to celebrate Chol-chnam-thmay. The tournament attracted 11 teams from hamlets in the commune. The teams competed enthusiastically, giving viewers dramatic and exciting matches.

Cultural and sports activities taking place before the Chol-chnam-thmay festival in 2025 have created a joyful atmosphere, contributing to strengthening solidarity and honoring the cultural identity of the Khmer people.
