On the evening of December 14, speaking at the Gala to present the Human Act Prize 2024 organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, highly appreciated the units that organized and spread it to become one of the prestigious awards, honoring the spirit of dedication and commitment of organizations and individuals contributing to building a good and prosperous community.

According to Mr. Do Van Chien, last September, storm No. 3 (Yagi) and its circulation caused severe damage to people and property in many northern provinces and cities, with 323 people dead, nearly 2,000 injured, and economic damage estimated at nearly 82,000 billion VND.

"However, difficulties and hardships make us more deeply aware of the importance of protecting the living environment, harmoniously resolving relationships, developing the economy with the requirements of green development, sustainable development as well as the spirit of solidarity and sharing with the community" - Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.

Regarding the 2024 Community Action Award, Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that it has gathered nearly 150 sustainable development projects and community contribution initiatives from domestic businesses, organizations and individuals, spanning many fields from equal education, community health and prosperity, poverty reduction, clean energy, sustainable business, to responsible production and consumption...

Many projects have been implemented persistently for many years, with results measured in convincing numbers and with the prospect of further expansion in scale and impact in the near future.

"Many projects are truly inspirational, supporting the less fortunate, giving wings to the dreams of the young generation in remote areas, and are a testament to the fine tradition of humanity and loving others as oneself of the Vietnamese people," said Mr. Do Van Chien.

According to the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, our Party and State always emphasize the importance of sustainable development in the process of national development and pay special attention to putting people at the center of sustainable development. To successfully implement these goals, it is necessary to mobilize all social resources, strengthen coordination between ministries, branches, localities, agencies, organizations, unions, enterprises and each individual.

Mr. Do Van Chien believes that the projects awarded the 2024 Community Action Award will create strong motivation and inspiration for domestic organizations and individuals to participate more in the journey of development, digital transformation, green transformation, contributing to the country's rapid and sustainable development in the new era - the era of national growth.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the award organizing committee, said that this year's theme emphasizes the role of synergy, creativity and perseverance in building a comprehensively developed community.

"The award not only seeks and honors outstanding initiatives but also promotes the spread and replication of successful models, helping us move towards a more sustainable future," said Mr. Minh.

From 32 outstanding projects that entered the final round, the Jury selected the best projects that are in line with the spirit of "Community Creation" to award prizes. The Human Act Prize award categories are evaluated based on criteria that ensure impact, sustainability, commitment, creativity and community outreach.
