On the afternoon of January 21, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City held a press conference to inform about the 2025 Tet Book Street Festival. The festival has the theme "Brocade and flower country, happy spring", marking the 15th anniversary of the Tet Book Street Festival, one of the key events of cultural and artistic activities to welcome Spring and the New Year in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 2025 Tet Book Street Festival begins on January 27 (December 28) and lasts until 10 p.m. on February 2 (the 5th day of Tet). The opening ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. the same day.
The festival took place on Le Loi Street (from Nguyen Hue to Quach Thi Trang Square, District 1), covering an area of 11,200m2 , attracting 22 participating units with nearly 68,000 copies of books. Along with that were many unique cultural and artistic spaces.
In particular, the festival will dedicate a solemn position to introducing works, New Year poems, and articles by President Ho Chi Minh; displaying and exhibiting documents, images, and works by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; documents, images, and publications commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

In addition, the festival has more than 160 exchange and interaction programs, fun activities, experiences... Some authors will interact and sign books for readers. Among them, researcher Nguyen Dinh Tu will be present right after the opening ceremony to interact and sign books at the booth of Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House.

This year, the Organizing Committee continues to implement the "Book Lucky Money" activity, with about 20,000 books on the first day of the new year, and throughout the festival, as a thank you and good luck wish to readers.

The highlight of this year's Tet Book Street Festival is the design of the entire Le Loi line, inspired by the image of Metro Line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) - a historical landmark in the development of Ho Chi Minh City. Here, the train compartments are arranged into areas with separate functions, such as exhibitions combining books and technology, playgrounds for children, miniature landscapes, etc.
