In just a few days, the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will officially take place. Ha Tinh workers are enthusiastically competing in labor, production, and implementing many tasks to celebrate the important event.

The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is scheduled to take place from December 1-3, 2023 in Hanoi, with the participation of 1,100 official delegates, representing 11 million union members nationwide. The Ha Tinh delegation has 11 comrades attending.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung and representatives of departments, branches and sectors met with the Ha Tinh delegation attending the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.

This is an important political event marking a new development step of the emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers; affirming the role and position of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.

In order to achieve the goal of each district and industry-level trade union organizing at least one activity, project, or task to welcome the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term, Ha Tinh has actively directed and deployed the spirit of the congress to the grassroots level.

At construction sites and factories, the labor and production emulation movement was launched and received enthusiastic response from workers and laborers. At the departments of Sao Mai Joint Stock Company (Bac Cam Xuyen Industrial Park), the production atmosphere is extremely busy and urgent. The machinery lines operate continuously; workers are working enthusiastically.

Mr. Hoang Anh Sang - Chairman of Sao Mai Joint Stock Company's Trade Union said: "The emulation movement in labor and production was launched throughout the factory, both to speed up the completion of orders in the last months of the year and to create a vibrant and practical atmosphere to welcome the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union".

Although the company is facing many difficulties, significantly affecting production and business progress, workers of Appareltech Garment Export Company Limited (Duc Tho Industrial Park) still work enthusiastically and responsibly.

Ms. Tran Thi To (worker at sewing line 19) shared: "We hope that at the 13th Congress, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will discuss and propose many policies and strategies to better care for union members and workers and accompany businesses, especially in difficult times."

Besides launching emulation movements in production and labor, trade unions at all levels also carry out many projects and tasks towards the congress.

Combining the activities to welcome the congress with the gratitude activities on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, units under the Education and Training Trade Union organized many sports tournaments, attracting a large number of cadres, teachers and workers to participate. The Trade Union also gave many gifts worth tens of millions of VND to union members in difficult circumstances...

In order to practically care for union members and workers, the Ha Tinh City Labor Federation has coordinated with related units to organize periodic health check-ups for more than 200 grassroots union officials. Union officials of the units had their blood drawn by doctors, were screened for cancer, and were advised on nutrition and work regimens appropriate to their health conditions...

The propaganda work about the congress has also received special attention from the units in many forms such as: showing trailers, infographics; posting related information and images on websites, social networking sites; hanging banners and slogans at agencies, units, businesses... Along with that, promoting the implementation of the online contest "Sending trust, giving expectations" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Emulation movements, projects and tasks towards the congress are being actively implemented by units. The Ha Tinh delegation will promote the sense of responsibility, bring the spirit and voice of union members and workers of the province to the congress, making worthy contributions to the success of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. We believe that in the new term, the Vietnam Trade Union will continue to affirm its role and position as an organization representing and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
