Especially from the program Tao Quan , people refer to him with the title "comedian".
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, artist Quoc Khanh said that after retirement, many artists participate in teaching at some art schools, but he is not like that.
For him, if he can stand on the podium, he must also have a professional training process to have solid knowledge to teach students.
"I can only act, but I cannot teach. Whatever God gives you, you have to accept that profession. I only gently advise young people on how to act, but I cannot teach them," he said.
Few people know that the powerful "Jade Emperor" in real life likes to drink fresh milk at night. He can drink a liter of milk a day and never gets bored.
Quoc Khanh considers himself a popular artist as he never uses luxury brands or expensive items. He is usually loyal to jeans and T-shirts. In particular, he likes... the color pink.
Talking about the reason for liking this color, which is still considered "feminine", he frankly said: "I like pink, because it makes me feel warm in the cold winter, and on the contrary, it is extremely cool in the summer."
When asked, what kind of person do you consider yourself to be? Quoc Khanh said: "I don't comment much about myself, I see myself as a quiet, quiet person. I have to live a certain way so that my fellow artists will appreciate me. Whatever comes, I accept it, life goes on like that, depending on how people feel about me."
The male artist is also a simple person, at the age of 61, he still lives in his parents' house. According to his sharing, his private room is narrow, only about 10m2, all the items in the room must be designed as thin as possible to fit.
"It's so narrow that the furniture in the room, such as the bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, have to be made thinner to fit the room's area. My wardrobe isn't even deep enough to hang clothes vertically, but has to be hung upside down. However, I believe that whether the house is big or small is not the problem, as long as I'm happy, that's the most important thing , " he said.
At retirement age, Meritorious Artist Quoc Khanh is still single, but he said that even though he lives alone, he does not feel lonely.
He confided: "I don't have to follow anyone. I feel my life is happy and comfortable, I don't have to please anyone. I don't feel lonely because I find a lot of joy for myself."
The artist born in 1962 added that when he was young, if he wanted to get married, he could have, but marriage is like a circle. Many times, he put one foot in and then… pulled out, not daring to move forward.
"I think it's simple, if a woman comes to you and doesn't receive love, life is no different than hell on earth. And being husband and wife, living together for life, not just for a day or two, can't make her put up with you for long," he confided.
He also said that in the last years of his life, his mother did not remind him to get married anymore because she knew he had his own choice.
"When she was alive, my mother still reminded me to get married, but later she stopped talking about it. I also stood at a crossroads thinking about my life: Get married or stay single? If I choose a free life, then I will have to suffer in my old age, with no one to take care of me," he said frankly.
Quoc Khanh said he has a habit of "sleeping in" until noon and not answering strange phone calls. If someone calls to book a show, they will leave a message and he will know and answer the next call.
"I'm afraid of being bothered because there are times when strangers constantly call to advertise and scam me, so if my friends or brothers call, they text me first," he said.
