On the morning of March 30, 1975, in Binh Dinh, Division 3 of Military Region 5 continued to attack the remaining enemy clusters in Lai Nghi, Phu Xuan, Phu Hoa 2 and blocked the enemy's retreat route to Quy Nhon.

That same night, the 2nd Regiment (less than) of the 3rd Division, secretly crossed the enemy's outer defense line in Binh Dinh, organized a blockade line in Dieu Tri, blocking all escape routes of the 22nd Division of the Republic of Vietnam. Coordinating with the 3rd Division, the soldiers of the 19th Regiment of the 968th Division captured Tra Lam Son Mountain (Tay Go Quanh) and destroyed the 3rd Regiment of the 49th Regiment of the Republic of Vietnam. The soldiers of the 95A Regiment fought the enemy in Phu Phong, Mai Xuan Thuong mausoleum.

At Phuong Hoang Pass (Dak Lak), at dawn on March 30, 1975, the forces of the 10th Division continued to attack in all directions the units of the 3rd Airborne Brigade of the Republic of Vietnam. In Phu Yen, on March 30, 1975, implementing the plan to liberate Tuy Hoa town, Battalion 9 and Regiment 3 of Division 320 marched down to Deo Ca (Hao Son section) to block the enemy from retreating to Khanh Hoa.

On the same day, highly appreciating and promptly encouraging the army and people of the Central Highlands who had just achieved a resounding victory, the Central Military Commission sent a telegram of praise: “The army and people of the whole country are extremely excited at the brilliant victory of the army and people of the Central Highlands. The Central Military Commission warmly commends all officers and soldiers of the armed forces and people of the Central Highlands for achieving outstanding victories and commends the achievements of comrades in the entire army.”

Also on March 30, 1975, the Central Military Commission telegraphed to comrades Vo Chi Cong and Chu Huy Man (Political Commissar and Commander of Military Region 5) to assign the task of studying and directing urgent implementation, aiming for the most favorable opportunity to capture the islands currently occupied by the Army of the Republic of Vietnam in the Truong Sa archipelago. In this matter, comrade Nguyen Ba Phat, the envoy of the General Staff, and the accompanying Navy officers would be directed by the Regional Party Committee and Military Region Party Committee to carry out the plan.

On the same day, the Central Committee of the Electricity Department directed the regional and provincial Party Committees to proactively combine attacks and uprisings, with communes liberating themselves, districts liberating themselves, and provinces liberating themselves, moving towards the complete liberation of the South.
