The bus carrying the group of tourists arrived at Suoi Thau at 3pm, the afternoon sun was now mild, making the air in the steppe pleasant. Located about 5km from Coc Pai town, Xin Man district, Ha Giang province, at an altitude of over 1,200m above sea level, Suoi Thau grassland is an attractive destination for tourists when coming to the western land of Ha Giang province. From Hanoi, visitors can travel by car along the route Hanoi - Bac Ha - Xin Man - Coc Pai. From Coc Pai to Suoi Thau, the distance is about 15km, you can travel by car or motorbike.

Every year, from September onwards, Suoi Thau grassland begins to enter its most beautiful season. The fresh autumn air and blooming buckwheat flower fields create a peaceful and beautiful natural landscape.

Coming to Suoi Thau, visitors will be impressed by the landscape like a multi-colored painting. The interweaving of the scenery between immense mountains and hills, flower fields, rice fields, and green corn fields creates a rare scene.

The best time for visitors to come to Suoi Thau is early in the morning to watch the sunrise and hunt for clouds, or come after 3pm to watch the beautiful sunset at around 5pm, and participate in harvest activities with the locals.

Suoi Thau has many vacant lots and flat terrain, visitors can bring their own camping gear here. Suoi Thau is still a wild steppe, without many services and amenities like many other tourist destinations. If camping overnight, visitors must prepare their own living supplies, food, etc.

In addition, if you come to Suoi Thau for the day, visitors can rent a motel in Coc Pai, from there rent a motorbike to the grassland, a distance of about 15km.

The life of the people in Suoi Thau is imbued with national identity on the vast grassland land. Locals here also plant buckwheat flower fields, the entrance fee to take photos is 40,000 VND for an adult and 20,000 VND for children. In the flower fields there are also small huts for visitors to rest while enjoying the scenery.
