On the morning of April 25, in Hai Duong, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Cluster No. 1 deployed the 2025 action plan and held a workshop to improve the quality of people-to-people diplomacy and mobilize foreign non-governmental aid.

Representatives of the Union of Friendship Organizations of provinces and cities in cluster 1 including: Hanoi, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa attended the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, said that in the context of deep integration as at present, foreign affairs activities play a very important role. The Union of Friendship Organizations of provinces and cities need to strengthen their role in advising provincial leaders on implementing foreign affairs activities.

In the coming time, together with the whole country, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations will reorganize and streamline its apparatus and will have specific instructions for localities to implement it uniformly. However, the Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations emphasized that the attention of the Party and the State to foreign affairs is always increasing, and the requirements for foreign affairs are increasingly high. The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations needs to improve operational efficiency, closely follow the operational plan, streamline its apparatus, and recruit competent and professional staff. Strengthen coordination, promote the role of a bridge of friendship, and be the core force in people-to-people foreign affairs at the local level.

At the conference, representatives of the Union of Friendship Organizations of provinces and cities presented papers and shared about people-to-people diplomacy in the new context and foreign non-governmental aid.

In recent times, the Union of Friendship Organizations Cluster 1 has made many efforts, initiatives and good practices in people-to-people diplomacy. Many programs of friendship exchange, international cooperation, humanitarian activities, peace, people-to-people friendship, etc. have been practically organized, contributing positively to promoting the image of the homeland and the friendly, hospitable Vietnamese people; at the same time, strengthening solidarity and friendship with people of other countries.

The Union of Friendship Organizations of Hai Duong province has been promoting its role as a bridge of friendship, contributing to promoting cooperation in many fields such as culture, education, economy, and people-to-people exchange with organizations, localities and international partners.
