Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai said that the conference was organized according to Program No. 46/CTr-LHHN dated January 26, 2024 on people's foreign affairs of the capital in 2024, Plan No. 48/KH-KH-LHHN dated January 26, 2024 of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations on implementing the directions of the Central and the City on strengthening people's foreign affairs.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai informed that this conference focuses on professional and technical contents, with the aim of providing and equipping new knowledge and skills for the core, specialized staff of the Union's standing agency, Friendship Associations and member organizations, branches and affiliated clubs.

This is also an opportunity for the Union, friendship associations, member organizations and a number of other agencies and units to improve and enhance the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy.

Under the introduction and discussion of the Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Chau Mai Anh, the conference revolved around two main contents: "Overview of diplomatic protocol and public diplomacy protocol" and "Guidelines on diplomatic protocol and welcoming and receiving foreign guests".

Along with the enthusiastic teaching of the reporter, the students actively exchanged, asked questions and interacted practically with many practical situations in the work, bringing useful knowledge and lessons to serve the foreign affairs work of the Capital's people.

As planned, this is the first professional training conference in 2024. The next professional training content will be held in July this year.
