US wants thief who stole money from donation box of Vietnamese temple in San Diego

SAN DIEGO POLICE DEPARTMENT

The San Diego Police Department said the break-ins occurred on September 14, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

During this time frame, Vietnamese temples in City Heights and southeastern San Diego County, California, became targets of thieves.

Based on security camera footage at the crime scenes, the suspect broke into a temple and stole money from the donation box. This information has been confirmed by the authorities.

At another location, the suspect was discovered loitering in a temple and was asked to leave by temple officials.

The car is believed to belong to the suspect.

SAN DIEGO POLICE DEPARTMENT

The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds, in his 40s. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, striped pants and black sandals.

This person is said to be driving a Volkswagen SUV.

The 2020 census results show that San Diego County has nearly 50,000 Vietnamese Americans.
