Long An after streamlining has 13 departments and branches

From 18 departments and branches under the People's Committee of Long An province, after streamlining the provincial administrative apparatus, there are only 13 departments and branches left.

On February 28, the People's Committee of Long An province held a conference to implement the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the arrangement and streamlining of specialized agencies and to announce personnel appointment decisions. Accordingly, Long An province will establish 5 new departments and a Project Management Board (PMU) for investment and construction from old units.

Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs will be merged from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs. The Department of Finance will be merged from the Department of Planning and Investment with the Department of Finance. The Department of Agriculture and Environment will merge the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Department of Construction will merge the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction. The Department of Science and Technology will merge the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology.

Along with the reorganization of departments and branches, the People's Committee of Long An province also announced the decision to transfer and appoint officials to leadership and management positions at departments and branches and the Provincial Construction Project Management Board, including 35 cases.

Specifically, Mr. Vo Thanh Phong, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, continues to hold the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs. Mr. Truong Van Liep, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, holds the position of Director of the Department of Finance. Mr. Vo Minh Thanh, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment. Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan, Director of the Department of Transport, holds the position of Director of the Department of Construction. Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, continues to hold the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Director of the Department of Construction, holds the position of Director of the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board.
