“PROACTIVE, FLEXIBLE, CREATIVE, EFFECTIVE”
The Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations was established on July 18, 1988. After 35 years of construction and development, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations now has 18 member organizations. Currently, the Union has about 5,000 regular members in 85 branches, including 1 branch in the Russian Federation and 2 branches in Ukraine, 2 branches outside the province in Hanoi and Da Nang.

Over 35 years of construction and development, the Union has always been active, proactive, united, cooperative, closely following the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on people's foreign affairs, synchronously implementing solutions to successfully implement the goals and tasks set forth by the Resolutions of the Congresses of each term, contributing to the socio-economic development and people's foreign affairs of the province.
Delivering a commemorative speech, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations emphasized that since its establishment, the Union has always coordinated with departments, branches and sectors to direct, guide and closely coordinate with member organizations to promote people's foreign affairs activities, implement targeted programs, with general areas such as: Strengthening foreign information work, actively expanding international relations, proactively exploiting resources and continuing to consolidate and develop the association.

Implementing the motto: "Proactive, flexible, creative, effective", the Union always innovates the content and methods of operation; builds and develops the organizational apparatus of the Union and its member organizations; actively advises the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and proactively implements people's foreign affairs activities in the area. Through practical activities, the Union and its member organizations have increasingly accumulated good experiences, created many good models and achieved many outstanding achievements.
In particular, the Union has cooperated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to collect and compile a historical photo book: "Ho Chi Minh - Symbol of peace and friendship between Vietnam and the world". The book was prefaced by General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and was awarded the National B Prize in 2021 by the National Book Awards Council.

The Union and its member organizations have actively mobilized foreign individuals and organizations to provide aid, contributing positively to the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction and socio-economic development. The work of mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to preserve national cultural identity and participate in solidarity and friendship activities with the people of host countries has been actively carried out.
In the coming time, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Van Thong emphasized that the Union will uphold the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, flexibility, creativity, and well perform the political tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee. Continue to effectively implement 5 Action Programs to further develop the province's people's diplomacy in both breadth and depth.


On the other hand, the Union will continue to promote information and propaganda work; promote the introduction, promotion and honor of President Ho Chi Minh, the image of the country and people of Vietnam in general and Nghe An in particular; strengthen the development and expansion of friendly relations and cooperation with localities, organizations and individuals in the region and the world; participate as a bridge to promote investment, trade, tourism, services, cultural exchange; actively mobilize humanitarian aid programs and projects...
PROMOTING TRADITION, ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NGHE AN PROVINCE
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Phuong Nga - President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations emphasized that during the 35 years of development, the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations has promoted its pioneering role with many achievements, making extremely important contributions to people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to the development of the province and people-to-people diplomacy of the whole country.

In addition, the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations has contributed to strengthening the traditional friendship between the people of Nghe An Province and the people of other countries. Foreign information is truly a bright spot and has especially cooperated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to collect and compile a historical photo book: "Ho Chi Minh - Symbol of peace and friendship between Vietnam and the world".
Praising and congratulating the achievements and development of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations in recent years, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Phuong Nga suggested that in the coming time, the Union will promote the potential and strengths of the province, good traditions, continue to strongly innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy activities.


On the other hand, the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations needs to improve the professional capacity, expertise, and foreign language proficiency of its staff, actively mobilize external resources, and actively contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress and Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, to soon turn the beloved homeland of President Ho Chi Minh into a modern industrial province by 2030.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations presented a Banner to the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations; the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee presented an Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations.




In addition, many collectives and individuals of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; Certificates of Merit from the President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Commemorative Medals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Commemorative Medals from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
