(Dan Tri) - Holidays and Tet holidays for preschool, general education, and continuing education students are guided by the Ministry of Education and Training in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidance documents.
Previously, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Ministry of Home Affairs), the Hung Kings Commemoration Day is a one-day holiday, falling on Monday, April 7 (March 10 of the lunar calendar). The day immediately preceding the Hung Kings Commemoration Day is Saturday and Sunday, so in total, students will have three consecutive days off.
Civil servants, public employees, and workers can have 3 consecutive days off from April 5 to April 7, including 1 holiday and 2 weekend days.
On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, people across the country will have 5 consecutive days off, from Wednesday, April 30, to Sunday, May 4. Workers will go to work on Saturday, April 26.
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year's Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday schedule, students will have one day off (April 7).

According to the previous school year schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training, the first semester ends before January 18, 2025, the program is completed and the school year ends before May 31, 2025.
Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2025. Complete enrollment of first grade classes before July 31, 2025.
The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.
Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Regarding the principles of building local school year schedules, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates: Local school year schedules must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester I and 17 weeks for semester II). School year schedules must be consistent with the characteristics and practical conditions of the locality.
Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. Teachers' annual leave is implemented during the summer vacation or can be arranged alternately at other times of the year to suit the specific characteristics and school year schedule of the locality.
The school year schedule needs to ensure consistency for all levels of education in a residential area, especially in general schools with many levels of education.
In 2025, civil servants and employees will have 22 days off for holidays and Tet, including 11 official days and 11 compensatory days off, consecutive days off due to falling on weekly holidays, or swapping working days.
