Accordingly, Hai Chau Regional Medical Center affirms that it has absolutely no policy, agreement or association with any private clinic or outside individual in conducting health examinations for job applications. The act of staff or people in security uniforms "guiding" patients to the opposite address or an unclear facility is not part of the official reception process of the unit.

As soon as we received the feedback, the Center conducted a review, inspection, and worked with relevant departments, including security forces, patient reception staff, and health examination service team.

Previously, on the Da Nang Urban Management page: Convenient - Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ms. TL posted a clip with the content "Be careful when going to the doctor and being scammed, I hope the police will see and destroy the network of scam brokers".

In the clip, Ms. TL said that on the morning of July 21, she went to Hai Chau Regional Medical Center (38 Cao Thang, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City) for a health check-up to supplement her job application. "Here, an employee said that the unit had temporarily stopped this type of health check-up and directed me to the opposite address, 39 Cao Thang. But when I crossed the street, I only saw a grocery store and no clinic," Ms. TL said.

According to Ms. TL, the guide followed her, confirmed that this grocery store was the place to receive her and called her inside. There, a woman named D., believed to be the owner of the grocery store, received Ms. TL, asked for information about her height, weight, and myopia, and then collected 300,000 VND for a health examination fee. After that, she was taken to a nearby private clinic to do blood and urine tests and wait for the results.

At first, Ms. TL thought the fee of 300,000 VND was reasonable. However, after hearing some people say they only paid 100,000 VND for the same type of examination, she returned to the grocery store to ask. In the recorded clip, when she asked to be refunded the difference, Ms. D. replied: "I do this service to make it faster for you. I will only give you 50,000 VND back, my child. Because I have to pay for this for many people. I also have to take you there." This woman also affirmed that if she had examined directly at the Hai Chau Regional Medical Center, it would have cost more than 380,000 VND. After taking back the 50,000 VND, Ms. TL went to the police to report and was instructed to call the hotline of the Department of Health.
