The Department of Education and Training of District 1 (HCMC) said that Ms. Truong Phuong Hanh, homeroom teacher of class 4/3, head of grade 4 at Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1), the teacher in the incident of "Unsuccessful campaign to request a laptop, not preparing a review outline" that the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong continuously reported on, was disciplined with a warning.

Along with the disciplinary warning, Ms. Truong Phuong Hanh will be assigned to be in charge of educational affairs from now until the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the decision to implement from October 21, 2024.

According to Mr. Vo Cao Long, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1, the department will assign personnel to monitor and grasp information of educational institutions in the area to promptly remove obstacles and difficulties as well as handle arising issues.

Previously, the Lao Dong Newspaper had continuously published articles reflecting on the incident. After the articles were published, the People's Committee of District 1 affirmed that it would resolutely handle the matter and not cover it up.

The Department of Education and Training of District 1 then directed Chuong Duong Primary School to suspend this teacher from teaching for 15 days.
