The 26-year-old patient, residing in Bien Hoa city, was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain in the epigastric region and liver, and vomiting several times. The patient's family said that about 11 hours before being admitted to the hospital, the patient had taken nearly 50 Ibuprofen painkiller pills. Through examination and testing, doctors discovered that the patient had kidney failure, acute pancreatitis, electrolyte disturbances, and hypokalemia. These are dangerous complications commonly seen in high-dose Ibuprofen poisoning.

The doctor and hospital team promptly implemented treatment methods for the patient according to the drug poisoning treatment protocol. Thanks to timely intervention, the patient's abdominal pain was significantly reduced. Test results showed that kidney function and pancreatic enzymes gradually returned to normal. The patient was gradually switched to an oral diet and his health recovered well.
