Prosecution of defendant who just got out of prison and continued to break into people's houses to steal motorbikes

Previously, on April 18, 2024, Ban Lau Commune Police received a complaint from Mr. Hoang Duc Quang, born in 1971, residing in Ban Lau Commune, Muong Khuong District, about his family losing a Honda Wave Alpha motorbike, license plate 24B3-11016. After receiving the information, Ban Lau Commune Police reported the incident and coordinated with the Investigation Team of Muong Khuong District Police to check for suspects.

Nong Bach Hop was arrested with stolen property.

At 8:00 p.m. the same day, the police of Muong Khuong district arrested the suspect while he was hiding in a rented room in group 5, Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai city. When arrested by the police, the suspect confessed that his name was Nong Bach Hop, born in 2005, residing in Ban Lau commune, Muong Khuong district. At noon on April 17, 2024, while passing by Mr. Quang's house, Hop quickly sneaked into the house to take the motorbike key and committed the act of theft. After taking the motorbike, Hop drove to Lao Cai city to pawn it for 4 million VND. The suspect used the money for personal expenses.

It is known that Nong Bach Hop has a previous conviction for theft of property and has just completed his prison sentence and returned to his hometown on March 29, 2024.
