At the online conference summarizing the work of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic with localities organized by the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on the morning of October 29, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen, representative of the Security and Order Subcommittee, said that in the fourth wave of the epidemic alone, the People's Public Security force mobilized over 3.3 million officers and soldiers as the core force to coordinate with agencies and functional forces in controlling and preventing the Covid-19 epidemic.

Set up 10,300 teams, quarantine stations and field hospitals with over 560,000 officers and soldiers participating in tracing, zoning and epidemic prevention; mobilized thousands of scouts from the Ministry to the grassroots.

Mobilize 11,603 officers and soldiers of units under the Ministry to strengthen security and order work to prevent epidemics at grassroots levels.

1,216 police medical officers were dispatched to support epidemic prevention work in localities and proactively searched for, detected, approached, mobilized, and supported the negotiation process with partners in the production of vaccines, treatment drugs, and medical supplies for epidemic prevention.

Focus on verifying the capacity of organizations and individuals to provide vaccine aid, thereby actively contributing to vaccine diplomacy and international cooperation in epidemic prevention. During the process of participating in epidemic prevention work, the People's Public Security Force had more than 6,000 officers and soldiers infected with Covid-19 and 11 comrades died from Covid-19, of which 6 comrades sacrificed their lives while performing epidemic prevention duties.

Maintain political and social stability, ensure security and order to serve socio-economic development, ensure the safety of people's lives and happiness.

Police forces at all levels have proactively grasped, assessed, and closely forecasted the situation related to the four epidemic waves in disease prevention and control work and ensured security and order in disease prevention.

The focus is on understanding the difficulties, shortcomings, and loopholes in implementing disease prevention policies and social security packages. Understanding the plots and activities of reactionary forces that take advantage of disease prevention to oppose the Party and the State, incite protests, and disrupt security and order in various fields.

Thereby, there were nearly 600 reports advising the Party, the State and the National Steering Committee on policies and solutions in epidemic prevention, detecting, handling and advising on handling nearly 800 cases of participating in mass gatherings related to epidemic prevention work.

Attack and disable tens of thousands of accounts and articles with malicious content spreading propaganda on cyberspace, distorting the policies and epidemic prevention work of our Party and State.

Administrative sanctions were imposed on over 550 subjects posting false information about epidemic prevention work. Detected and administratively handled 1,295 cases with 3,232 cases of entry and exit violating regulations on entry and exit, administrative sanctions were imposed on 459,368 cases of violations of regulations on epidemic prevention work.

With the assigned responsibilities, the police force has proactively coordinated and detected and handled 365 cases with 413 subjects taking advantage of the epidemic prevention policy to commit acts such as: Speculating and inflating the selling prices of essential goods for epidemic prevention work; smuggling, production and trading of counterfeit goods; negative and profiteering in the use of epidemic prevention funds.

Police at all levels have prosecuted 37 cases with 104 defendants, administratively sanctioned 220 cases, 222 subjects with a total fine of nearly 3 billion VND.

Focus on investigating and strictly handling acts of taking advantage of epidemic prevention policies for negative corruption, especially focusing on directing the effective implementation of cases directed by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, such as the Viet A case.

Along with that, Mr. Le Van Tuyen said, the Ministry has deployed the National Population Database platform in vaccination, health declaration and vaccine passport work; has proactively, promptly and effectively deployed the application of 4 integrated utility software on the Citizen Identification Card to connect and authenticate with the National Population Database to serve the work of disease prevention.

Agree with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Information and Communications to use QR codes for the PC-COVID software system to connect citizens' information and between the vaccination database and the National Population Database.

Coordinate with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Social Insurance to deploy and clean population data to serve the work of disease prevention and control to deploy technical measures to trace epidemiological factors through information technology .
