The moment that turned Bui Hoang Viet Anh into a hero

In the 61st minute, Bui Hoang Viet Anh controlled the ball neatly and then suddenly launched a curling shot with his weaker foot, sending the ball low into the bottom left corner of the goal, surprising the goalkeeper and PSM Makassar defenders.

Viet Anh's goal took place when the second leg of the semi-final at Hang Day Stadium was tied 1-0 (total score 1-1 after 2 legs).

This moment made Viet Anh the hero of the match. Because in the remaining minutes, CAHN Club maintained the score of 2-0 (2-1 after 2 matches), thereby winning a ticket to the final of the ASEAN Club Championship 2024/25. At least twice this season, Viet Anh scored an important goal that brought a turning point for CAHN Club.

When CAHN met Kuala Lumpur in the group stage, Viet Anh also played the role of hero when he scored the equalizer 2-2 before the team won 3-2 in the match that had the meaning of deciding the ticket to the semi-finals. Viet Anh showed his talent for scoring goals since playing for Hanoi FC and the Vietnam national team under coach Park Hang-seo.

Returning to the match with Makassar, before Viet Anh shone, CAHN Club took a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute thanks to a header from central defender Hugo Gomes.

Home field advantage and determination helped CAHN Club compete better than the Indonesian representative in this rematch.

If they take advantage of their opportunities, CAHN Club can definitely score 1-2 more goals.

With this victory, CAHN Club was awarded 300 million VND and 400 million VND by the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) respectively.
