On January 11, Tuoi Tre Online recorded that on many roads in Tan Quy Dong and Tan Khanh Dong communes, Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province, many tourists came to visit, take photos and buy Tet flowers.

According to local flower growers, this is the busiest time of the year for the flower village. Tourists from neighboring provinces and Ho Chi Minh City come to Sa Dec in large numbers, especially on weekends, to buy Tet flowers at the garden at cheap prices.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that she and her family rented a 16-seat car from Ho Chi Minh City to Sa Dec to take family photos, because there was still time before Tet.

“Every year, I visit Sa Dec and buy flowers about 1-2 weeks in advance to decorate my house. The price of flowers at the garden is also cheaper, there are many choices, many beautiful flower varieties. Currently, the traffic connection is quite good, it only takes about 3 hours to go from Ho Chi Minh City to Sa Dec,” said Ms. Nhung.

To prepare for welcoming visitors, many tourist attractions in Sa Dec flower village have renewed their landscape clusters and decorated them with bright fresh flowers. Tourists wearing Ao Dai happily took photos, laughing and talking loudly, happily in the warm spring weather.

Ms. Duong My Nguyen Hao - Tu Ton Rose Garden tourist area - said that to attract visitors, the tourist area always takes care of each cluster of miniature landscapes, adding new features each year.

“The 2.5-hectare garden consists of four areas: fresh flower carpets, boating to see flowers, rose valley, and flowers grown on trellises. There are about 10,000 flower baskets of various types used to decorate the landscape. In particular, visitors can see the way of growing flowers on trellises, which is very typical of Sa Dec,” said Ms. Hao.

Duyen Nhut flower paradise is a new tourist destination in Sa Dec flower village this year, having just opened to welcome visitors for nearly a month.

Notably, Mr. Pham Van Nhut - owner of Duyen Nhut tourist site (Tan Khanh Dong commune) - has planted nearly 40,000 flower baskets of various kinds including: 4,000 rose baskets, 4,000 bougainvillea baskets, 1,000 sunflowers; cosmos, hydrangeas... on an area of ​​10,000m2 to attract visitors.

“In particular, I used 2,000 baskets of bougainvillea flowers to surround the birdhouse, creating a flower block 14m high, 15m wide, and 30m long. I planted many flowers, each type in a cluster, so that customers have many options to take photos with their favorite type.

With an entrance fee of 50,000 VND/person, visitors will be able to visit, take photos, enjoy banh tet, traditional cakes, and drink free tea. In addition, the tourist spot also serves food when visitors want to eat and drink," said Mr. Nhut.
