Connecting North Central businesses with international markets

(Chinhphu.vn) - The international trade program co-organized by Quang Tri province has connected more than 60 North Central enterprises with 15 foreign partners, opening up opportunities for cooperation, promoting exports and developing sustainable supply chains in the region.

On the afternoon of July 10, in Quang Tri , the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to organize a direct trade program between enterprises in the North Central region and international importers, to promote exports and develop a sustainable supply chain.

The program attracted the participation of more than 60 enterprises and cooperatives from the North Central provinces and 15 enterprises and distributors from strategic markets such as Thailand, Japan, China, Laos... The activities were organized in a variety of ways, including trade conferences, product displays, field surveys and direct connections between parties.

The exhibition booths at the conference brought vivid and diverse images of agricultural products, processed foods, consumer goods, OCOP products, handicrafts and typical rural industrial products.

In particular, field surveys in raw material areas and processing plants in areas such as medicinal herbs, agricultural products and food have helped international partners have a realistic view and evaluate the potential for long-term cooperation and investment in the locality.

Mr. Tran Phi Tuong, Deputy Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Quang Tri province, said that on July 9-10, the delegation of foreign enterprises visited a number of raw material areas and processing facilities in Quang Tri. Thereby, helping foreign enterprises better understand the production process, product quality and potential for cooperation. At the same time, the program also connected logistics and import-export enterprises such as Global Tech Group, Viet Thai Goods Trading Company, etc. to provide maximum support for trade and export activities.

About 20 memorandums of understanding between domestic enterprises and foreign partners were signed at the program, focusing on product supply, distribution, consumption, expanding technical cooperation and technology transfer.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien affirmed: "This program is an important opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises to meet, learn about needs, and promote effective trade cooperation. Thereby, demonstrating Quang Tri province's strong commitment to accompanying enterprises, building linked value chains and creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese products to reach the world market."

The program not only creates opportunities for domestic enterprises to access potential export markets, but also contributes to promoting technological innovation, improving production capacity and integrating deeper into the global distribution chain. At the same time, it demonstrates the increasingly clear role of Quang Tri as a trade promotion hub in the process of international integration and regional economic development.
