General Secretary To Lam's visit received much attention in Indonesia. Local media not only broadcasted the welcoming ceremony but also the footage from the moment the General Secretary's motorcade left the hotel.

The Presidential Palace - Merdeka Palace - was lavishly decorated in preparation for the welcoming ceremony for General Secretary To Lam. Rows of honor guards in full military uniform and traditional costumes stood at attention waiting to welcome the Vietnamese leader.

Those present at the Presidential Palace and the public were able to watch the solemn welcome ceremony as Indonesian authorities and media broadcast the event live on social media platforms.

At exactly 4:45 p.m., a car with a red license plate and the prominent words "VIETNAM" carrying General Secretary To Lam entered the Presidential Palace amid the vibrant sound of drums and trumpets. The Indonesian ceremonial team performed a traditional dance to welcome the General Secretary, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.

As the car passed, rows of Indonesian children holding the national flags of both countries happily waved and shouted. General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly rolled down the car window, smiling and waving back.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto came out of the car to welcome and invite General Secretary To Lam to step up to the podium. The military band played the national anthems of Vietnam and Indonesia. During the national anthems, 21 cannon shots resounded, adding to the solemn atmosphere.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto then invited General Secretary To Lam to review the honor guard and introduce officials from both sides present at the welcoming ceremony.

Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders had a private meeting and held high-level talks to discuss and propose solutions to develop the relationship between the two countries to a new height.

This is the first state visit of General Secretary To Lam, taking place on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations and 12 years of strategic partnership.

Therefore, this visit is expected to open a new chapter in bilateral relations, creating new momentum for cooperation and development in traditional and new fields.
