Hyundai Tucson is the Korean brand's best-selling SUV in the global market. Since the first generation was introduced in 2004, through 3 generations to date, Tucson has achieved cumulative sales of more than 7.5 million units.

The exterior of the new Hyundai Tucson has many differences compared to before. The Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy remains the same as the previous generation but has been improved and changed. The most noticeable is the more aggressive radiator grille with sparser mesh. The LED daytime running lights are hidden in the radiator grille, the number of lights is reduced to 4 on each side. The headlight cluster is upgraded to Projector LED.

The body is designed in a blocky style with muscular, angular lines. The hood is long and the roofline is flat. The rear wiper is hidden under the spoiler.

The car has an overall length of 4,640 mm, width of 1,865 mm, height of 1,665 mm and wheelbase of 2,755 mm, ground clearance of 181 mm. Wheels have size options from 17 to 19 inches depending on different versions.

The highlight of the interior space of the new Tucson is the cluster of 2 information and entertainment screens with the same size of 12.3 inches, seamlessly connected with a moderate tilt towards the driver. This design style is similar to the recently launched Santa Fe. The entertainment screen supports wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay operating systems and the ability to connect 2 devices at the same time. The interior LED lighting system can be adjusted to 64 colors.

In this upgrade, Hyundai Tucson is equipped with a multi-directional air-conditioning system, reducing the phenomenon of local cooling. The steering wheel is redesigned with a 3-spoke sporty design with a logo showing the letter H in Morse code. The gear lever is changed to a type of integrated knob behind the steering wheel, helping to free up space between the driver's seat and the passenger seat.

The series of modern equipment upgraded on the new Tucson includes an 8-speaker Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, automatic headlights and wipers, 2-position memory driver's seat, seat heating and cooling function, electronic handbrake, smart brake hold and 360 camera... Mobile devices can be charged via type-C port.

The car is still equipped with maps specifically for the Vietnamese market with customized features. In addition, the built-in offline map is capable of operating independently with pre-loaded data and direct GPS satellite connection, not depending on the internet system like other online maps.

Hyundai Tucson continues to be equipped with 3 versions of Smartstream generation engines. In which, the Smartstream 1.6L T-GDi engine produces 180 horsepower and maximum torque of 265 Nm. This engine version comes with a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission and HTRAC all-wheel drive system.

The Smartstream Diesel D2.0 engine has better power, at 186 horsepower and maximum torque of 416 Nm. This version comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The version uses a Smartstream 2.0l MPI gasoline engine and 6-speed automatic transmission for a capacity of 156 horsepower and torque of 192 Nm.

Tucson versions are equipped with Drive Mode 4 modes: Eco, Normal, Sport and My Drive mode to customize the steering wheel and driving mode depending on customer preferences. The Turbo version with HTRAC drive system is equipped with a central differential lock to enhance off-road traction.

The Hyundai SmartSense safety technology package is an advantage of the new Tucson with many safety features, including: forward collision warning and avoidance support system, blind spot collision monitoring and avoidance, lane keeping warning and support, cross-traffic collision avoidance support when reversing, collision avoidance support when reversing/parking, intelligent automatic lighting system, adaptive cruise control system, safe door opening warning and driver fatigue warning system.

In addition, the car is also equipped with a series of other standard safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), emergency brake assist (BA), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), traction control (TCS), vehicle stability control (VSM), electronic balance (ESC), hill start assist (HAC), downhill assist control (DBC), front/rear/side parking sensor system, rear seat occupant warning system ROA, speed limit warning function, tire pressure sensor, Immobilizer anti-theft system and 6 airbags.

The new Hyundai Tucson will officially be on the market from October 2024. The Tucson 2.0 Standard Gasoline version has a recommended retail price of 769 million VND, equivalent to the previous generation. The Tucson 2.0 Special Gasoline version is priced at 859 million VND, 20 million VND higher. The Tucson 2.0 Special Diesel version is priced at 989 million VND, 80 million VND higher. The Tucson 1.6 Turbo version is priced at 979 million VND, 60 million VND higher than the previous generation.

In the Vietnamese market, Hyundai Tucson has a 5-year or 100,000km warranty, whichever comes first. The car competes with rivals such as Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage, Subaru Forester, Mazda CX-5 and Mitsubishi Outlander.
